Central Wisconsin Water Ski Show Team History

1997

This was the first year that the Water Walkers were together.  The Water Walkers began skiing on Lake DuBay with no permanent dock.  The team began with about 14 skiing members. The theme of the show this year was "A Day at the Circus" This show was about a gorilla that had escaped from the circus and kept showing up throughout the show. The Water Walkers spent a lot of time cleaning up and developing the ski site. This was the first year of Camp-I-Wanna-Ski, a ski camp for people of any age that want to learn how to water ski.

1998

The "Mardi Gras" theme for 1998 involved a trip down the Mississippi River to go the Mardi Gras. The team added 8 new skiers this year, and competed in there first state competition.  The Water Walkers competed in division 3 and left the competion with a first place win.

1999

The theme for 1999 was "Cast Away Island" this show was a knock off of the show "Gilligan's Island". The Water Walkers grew this year and had 29 skiing members by the end of the season. The Water Walkers went to state for the second time and took first place in division 3 once again. This year the Water Walkers installed their first permanent dock at the site on Lake DuBay.
